In this course you will learn how to set a cooperative one-stop shop for citizen-led renovation services, the benefits and challenges of delivering this service model, and how different citizen-led renovation one-stop shops are operating across Europe.
One Stop Shops are an established model for supporting people to renovate their homes. Citizen-led approaches to renovation, delivered via One Stop Shops are a growing opportunity.
This training course is for energy communities, cooperatives, and other citizen-led organisations who are delivering aspects of citizen-led renovation and want to learn more about: how a One Stop Shop model operates, and how they could develop and/or deliver One Stop Shop services.
The course covers five main topics: One Stop Shop models, service design, skills, legal and financial considerations, and ICT tools. Each of these topics is contained in a stand-alone module. We recommend that you complete each module in order. There is no assessment for this training course, and you may leave and return to the content at your own pace.
This training course was developed as part of the “One Stop Renovation Co-op” LIFE project (“OSR-Coop project”), which brought together frontrunner cooperatives that are already deploying home renovation services at the local level, in a variety of contexts and geographical areas. The OSR Coop project has received funding from the LIFE Programme of the European Union.
The authors of this training course content are Sandy Rushton (People Powered Retrofit) and Srgjan Vidoeski (REScoop.eu). The authors benefited from input from all OSR Coop partners and People Powered Retrofit.
